Since yesterday, the Olympafrica centers in Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, and Tanzania (Kibaha & Zanzibar) have been gathered for a five-day wrestling training camp, followed by a major regional tournament this Saturday.
A total of 50 young athletes (5 girls and 5 boys per center) are participating in this special event, accompanied by their directors, a wrestling coach, and a female support coach to assist the girls.
A wonderful display of diversity, inclusivity, and sportsmanship!
On the agenda:
• Theoretical training for coaches, center directors, and volunteers
• Hands-on sessions involving coaches and children
• Introduction, discipline, respect, and teamwork based on the values of sports
This week is much more than just a workshop: it’s a time for learning, sharing, connecting, and celebrating the potential of every young person.
