Wrestling program

The OLYMPAFRICA Foundation, in partnership with the International Wrestling Federation, organizes annual wrestling tournaments at the Resenau centers.

Activities
The centers organize a two-month local tournament with a minimum of 1,500 participants aged 12 to 14 (1,000 boys and 500 girls).
The tournaments will be organized in a league format (pre-formed teams competing against each other) to allow young people to compete multiple times.
The objectives of this program are:
– To develop wrestling in the various centers
– To identify talent for potential participation in the 2026 Youth Olympic Games
– Creating wrestling clubs that will participate in youth competitions
– Selecting wrestlers to participate in a regional tournament and join an international development program in preparation for the 2026 YOG.
– Channeling young people’s energy through a sports program.
– Developing team spirit among young people. Using this program to instill positive values in young people, particularly regarding behavior..
